Mirza Teletovic scores 22 points against the Kings

The Nets head into the season with a clear rotation of four players : Garnett and Lopez starting, with Teletovic and Mason Plumlee backing them up.

Wednesday’s performance was another indication of the Mirza Teletovic got the start and showed why he’ll be a big part of what the Nets do this season.

Teletovic led the Nets with 22 points, including knocking down five 3-pointers, showing the same ability to space the floor he did while breaking out last season.

 The Nets completed their weeklong trip to China with a 129-117 overtime victory over the Kings in Beijing on Wednesday morning, thanks to Teletovic.

He also helped the Nets to victory early Sunday morning when he nailed a late-game three-pointer, scoring 10 points and giving the Nets the two-point victory in Shanghai.

Brook Lopez will miss the Nets opener

During the first quarter of Wednesday’s preseason game against the Kings in China, Lopez’s  fragile right foot. It is the same foot that Lopez twice fractured while sabotaging two of his last three seasons.

The 26 years old center, has already undergone three surgeries, including one in January that involved the movement of a bone from one part of his foot to another.

Lopez worthy $61 million deal, Nets signed up four- year contract in 2012, but were unable to get insurance on his foot. In addition to the two breaks to the fifth metatarsal bone in the December months of 2011 and 2013, Lopez once underwent surgery to replace a bent screw.

He has missed 134 games over the last three seasons almost all related to his right foot after playing in every game in his first three seasons. Lopez, an essential and clearly fragile part of Brooklyn’s offense, is leading the Nets in scoring in the preseason.

He continued to play Wednesday after spraining his foot, finishing with 16 points in 21 minutes. Coach Lionel Hollins said he was happy with the play of Lopez and the entire first unit
